Social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter have made it possible for people to make friends from all over as well as keep in touch with those they know. LinkedIn is a great example of such site - I know a lot of people who have used it to explore job prospects, locate potential sponsors for their projects. Twitter is a new addition to this list, and from what I can see, people are putting it to a lot of good use:

its changed alot. the only negative thing is being addicted. but other than that u get to talk to friends far away and its just another way to communicate
