The book ';Where's Mom Now That I Need Her?'; is fabulous. Not only does it have great simple recipes, it also has sections about getting good buys at the grocery store, cooking technique, a chart of recipe measurement conversions, and even sections on laundry care, basic car %26amp; bike care/repair, and first aid. I was given this by a friend before I went to college and it came in handy many times.
Go to your local library's young adult section. Fast and FREE!!!

I don't know of any cookbooks specifically for teenagers, but there's tons of cookbooks for beginners that have simple recipes and really some you what to do. Cheak out some of these:
