Pool party like (luau party) is a good idea; Skiing; Camping/Hunting if your grandaughter is more of an outdoor type or a Masquerade party where everyone wears a formal attire and of course wears a mask.
Murder mystery.
There is places that will do it for you, or there are kits online you can buy and they have different rated plots so they are age apporpriate.
Watch a chick flick at a theater that offers birthday packages. Make sure you have a room for cake and ice cream after the show! And tell her Happy Birthday! ;-)
