What can teenagers do to help the environment and to live sustainabily???

Hi. I am doing a presentation in which I want to show my classmates (9th grade) that we can live sustaiabily and that there is a way to make a difference in our environment. I have the basics: recycling, planting trees, etc. but I want more viable options or more ideas to share with the class. I am trying to really show the what normal teenagers can do for the environment, but what can they do???

Thankyou! What can teenagers do to help the environment and to live sustainabily???
Everyone is talking about being Green or eco-friendly these days. Here are some thoughts on how organizing your life is earth friendly:

鈥?When you organize, you get rid of that which you no longer need. If you sell it or donate it, you are recycling. Get rid of what you don鈥檛 use and recycle it to someone who can use it. Some great sites for recycling are Craig鈥檚 List/free or www.freecycle.com.

鈥?If you know what you already have, you will consume less. People tend to overbuy because they don鈥檛 remember already having plenty.

鈥?Many garages are breeding grounds for pollutants which are not only earth un-friendly, but also kid and pet un-friendly. By organizing your space, you can make sure you don鈥檛 have anything hazardous laying around. Check with your local government agency to find the nearest hazardous waste disposal site.

鈥?Save a tree 鈥?recycle that paper. Most people save/file/pile up way paper that they absolutely do not need. Having organized paperwork will save you stress and most likely a tree or two.

Support nuclear power. It produces no greenhouse gasses compared to fossil-fuel burning powerstations.
Get a job!!! Sustain yourselves.
