What is the best cruise for families with teenagers?

If you have been on a cruise, what activities were available for teens? Did they have fun? What is the best cruise for families with teenagers?
I agree teens will enjoy just about any cruise, but if they want interaction with other teens, I'd recommend Royal Caribbean. It offers the best of both worlds - you want to have a nice time on the cruise and relax, they want to meet, friends, party, and be entertained constantly.

Celebrity - is a bit more upscale, but a sister company of Royal Caribbean and I would also highly reocmmend.

I'd make Carnival my 3rd choice. Not my favorite line as I believe they do not offer the same quality in accommodations, service, food, etc. as those mentioned above. Certain times of the year, especially during spring break, not always the best atmosphere for impressionable teens.

How wrong some people are - different lines cater for different markets. Some ships are full of old people - would teens like that?

Royal Caribbean's five 'Voyager' Class ships are fantastic - with Rock Climbing Walls, Ice rinks etc. There new ship 'Freedom of the Seas; even has a surf machine!
They will have more fun than you do, we took the kids to Mexico for a week and pledged never to do that again! Three great looking teenage girls and two boys looking for danger...too much input for old people...but the staff kept them busy and smiling the whole time.
Disney Cruise Line has a teen hangout area. They have disney shows, current movies, so much to do. I would highly recommend Disney!
Disney cruises are good although expensive.
The Royal Caribbean ';Voyager Class'; of ships are FABULOUS! In addition to the arcade and malt shop, there's a shopping mall, a teen club, roller skating, ice skating, movies, swimming, sports, rock climbing etc. They could never find that much to do at home. When I was with a group that included a number of teens, it seemed like we only saw them at dinner and on shore excursions. They all had their own things to do and made lots of friends.

Teens will love a cruise regardless. So much to do. I have discounts on Carnaval going to the caribbean and bahamas. What are your dates?

Lots of great cruise deals and information.
I have traveled other cruise lines and Carnival, by far, has the youngest crowd. I traveled with two teenagers on a cruise from Miami. They had a blast. I would recommend Carnival Cruise lines if you are traveling with teenagers. When you travel is also important as well. Traveling during the school season, you will find less teens on board for your teens to interact with and thus less activities on board. Carnival has specific teen activities and our teens met other teens they hung out with during the cruise. It also gave us parents more alone time! Activities include savenger hunts, arcades, their own dance club time, sports challenges and other get together type events. My teens still talk about the cruise as one of our better family vacations.
